CHRISTIAN AIDS NATIONAL ALLIANCE Major Activities/Achievements : Christian AIDS/HIV National Alliance (CANA)is a largest network agencies of Christian Churches and Church based agencies serving in the field of HIV/AIDS. To engage them in active responses, CANA continued to involve in NETWORKING, CAPACITY BUILDING, ADVOCACY and ACTION RESEARCH AND COMMUNICATIONS on HIV/AIDS issues. The major works are with the Chruches and NGOs in building thier capacities in congregational and community based responses for HIV/AIDS; PPTCT; addressing to the needs of AIDS orphans and Widows; HIV Education in Theological Institutions; Value Based Education for adolescents and youth; children at risk programs to prevent HIV among the children of FSWs, CSWs, IDUs, Street Children etc. Organising state, regional and national advocacy workshops, publising of HIV/AIDS information and Education materials, and newsletters, provisions of seedmoney to partners, exposures visits, exchange programs, moduler courses, think-tanks are few to name. CHRISTIAN AIDS NATIONAL ALLIANCE has a HIV/AIDS directory as well seek memberships from Active Churches and Church Based agencies and individuals to respond to HIV/AIDS in India
