Details of Achievements :

All India Educational Movement was founded in December 1995 in New Delhi at the culmination of the All India Educational Movement Caravan launched in cooperation with a number of NGOs working for the cause of educational uplift of underprivileged sections of the Indian society. However, All India Educational Movement was formally registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 of Government of India as Public Society in 1999. The aims and objectives enshrined in the constitution of All India Educational Movement include the educational advancement of underprivileged and weaker sections of Society. It is envisaged by the Movement to achieve its cherished goal with the active cooperation of NGOs working in several parts of the country. Inclusion of economic and other sundry objects in this regard has been effected in order to break the vicious circle that perpetuates educational backwardness in any community. All India Educational Movement works for the educational uplift of the backward, under privileged and other weaker sections in India. The Organization functions for the promotion of literacy, general education and integration of various streams of knowledge and also lays emphasis on career guidance, coaching, provision of scholarship and development of talent etc. It aims at equipping the disadvantaged people to compete with others in progress and development. The movement secures cooperation among various voluntary organizations for meaningful synergy with government projects. The Movement undertakes regular drives for creating awareness about education. Its Centre for Information and Cooperation is promoting voluntary activities by providing information, training, orientation and opportunities to share ideas and experiences. It organizes seminars and conferences to formulate policies and programs. The Newsletter of the organization regularly keeps all the concerned abreast of recent developments, specially in the field of educational uplift of common people. The following programs and activities of the organization may be pertinent here: 1. All India educational campaign in the form of Taalimi Caravan organized in 1995 which motivated a large number of educational societies and organizations to open more than 1000 primary and secondary schools. It is an important activity of the organization. 2. Publication and circulation of the AIEM Newsletters for dissemination of information to active organizations working in the fields of educations. 3. Networking among interested and affiliated organizations. 4. Organization of Workshops, orientation programs, discussions, etc. for the benefit of individuals and organizations working for charitable activities. It is understood at the AIEM that alleviation of educational backwardness of a community is not possible without generating a mass awareness in that regard and presenting a proper model of activities. Therefore, AIEM strives for mass awareness by way of national and regional campaigns on the one hand, and on the other, by encouraging establishment of model institutes in various parts of India. Inclusion of leading educationists and social activists among the members of the AIEM and that of various successful organizations as its affiliates ensure the realization of its envisaged plans. India’s population represents a dichotomy. It has done succeedingly well in higher education with focus on professional courses including medicine, management, engineering and information technology. More than one third of India’s population, however, is illiterate. Ignorance, illiteracy and ill-health hold the disadvantage sections in trial. This disparity among the advance and backward sections of Society creates tension and impedes national progress. All India Educational Movement strives to reduce and eventually remove this disparity by making the disadvantaged groups realize the focal importance of education for their all round uplift. It inspires and sponsors opening of school in neglected areas.
