Major Activities/Achievements : Registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Section 12A and 80G (5) (vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Empowerment volunteers is services for the betterment and development of the slum and street children and women of the society. Empowerment actively advocates using art and culture as a tool for social change and emancipation, for creation of a sensitive and peaceful world, for bringing nations closer and for forming a nexus between the citizens and governments. With this objective Empowerment organizes various International and national level art camps and art exhibitions, competitions, heritage walks, seminars, workshops etc. showcasing different perspectives and cultural nuances. Recently Empowerment with the support of ICCR has concluded a unique International level art camp the Cultural Confluence-United Colours with the participation of 7 South Asian countries. And with the support of Central Social Welfare Board concluded Shaktiroopa-25 Women Artists Show of India. It is allotted a Basti vikas Kendra by MCD at Girinagar, kalkaji where we run Women and Youth Welfare Programmes like vocational trainings, employment based courses Also ‘Education and Cultural Center’ for children . It propagates the life and mission of our great heroes like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Nehru etc. It makes murals and paintings depicting various forms of folk, traditional and modern public art.
