All India Adivasi Socio Educational and Cultural With the full involvement and volunteer effort of the young, energetic members of the Association as well as other well wishers, All India ASECA is able to contribute for the common welfare of the society in the following way:- 1.Association is continuously promoting Adivasi Art and Culture through organizing Cultural melas. 2.Undertaken publication of old Santali books. 3.The association assisted the Technical Committee of the Department of Information Technology, GoI for UNICODE process of Santali language; 4.This association was represented at the Grants-in-Aid Committee of the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, 5.This Association organized Birth Centenary Celebration of Pandit Raghunath Murmu in the year 2005. As part of the Celebration, it has installed a life size Bronze Statue at Baripada in the District Head Quarter of Mayurbhanj District, Orissa in May 2005. 6.The Association is proposing to set up an institution “Adivasi Research and Training Centre” at Baripada for which 5 acres of land has been earmarked. The statue will be installed in this premise. 7.The President and General Secretary of the Association attended the National Consultative Committee Meeting for Santali Development held on 31st July and 1st August 2004 at Kolkata. Convened by Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore and participated in the discussion/deliberation. 8.Continuous efforts were made before the competent authority to include Santali in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. This resulted in inclusion of Santali in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India during January, 2004. 9.A Conference of Santal Traditional Village Heads, Social leaders and Senior Citizens was organized during 25th and 26th of December 2003 at Baripada, HQ of Mayurbhanj District in Orissa. 10.An All India Conference of Santals was organized during 8th & 9th February 2003 at Balasore, Orissa. All India Adivasi Socio Educational and Cultural 11.According to the Approach Paper of this Association on Centenary Celebration of Guru Gomke Pandit Raghunath Murmu, Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Minister, Govt. of Orissa convened a meeting at Bhubaneswar on 1.2.2003 and 23.2.2003 to discuss on the formation of a Committee for the Centenary Celebration. The Association participated in both the meetings. 12.A monthly English Journal “ASECA CHANNEL” is being published since May, 2002 13.Maintaining a Website www.allindiaaseca.org for facilitating dissemination of data, news on Adivasis. 14.A National Conference on “Status, Development Trend and Future of Santals” organized during 10th – 11th February, 2002 at Civic Centre, Rourkela, Orissa 15.Ol Chiki font for use in computer developed and released as freeware for general use. 16.The Association officially celebrates the Independence Day, Republic Day, Guru Kunami (Birthday of Pandit Raghunath Murmu) and Hul Maha (the Santal Hul – 30th June) regularly every year.
