Major Activities/Achievements : Indo Global Social Service Society established in 1960 by Miseror (Germany), the Indo Global Social Service Society( Formerly known as Indo German Social Service Society) is a charitable organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and is eligible to receive foreign donations under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 and is exempted from Income Tax under Income Tax Act, 1961 IGSSS wants to ensure social, economic, political empowerment of poor and marginalized communities so that they can have access to sustainable livelihood with dignity. Vision: “A humane social order based on truth, justice, freedom, equity and integrity of the whole of creation in which basic human rights and the dignity of every individual is upheld, in which the integrity of the family as a basic unit of the community is strengthened, where power, resources and the fruits of development are shared by all”. Mission: IGSSS’s mission is to raise and maintain itself as an organization committed to building a society for all based on the principles of truth, justice, freedom, equity and plurality in solidarity with the poor, marginalized & vulnerable sections of society such as dalits, tribals, minorities, women and children. As per the IGSSS’s Memorandum of Association its scope is to work in all areas of Union of India. IGSSS presently works in 28 States and one Union Territory of India, has 5 Regional offices, 10 project offices across India. The national office is in New Delhi. IGSSS is intervening in 291 districts in India. North Regional Office (NRO): (Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand) East Regional Office (ERO): (Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chattishgarh, West Bengal) Western Regional Office (WRO): (Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh) South Regional Office (SRO): (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala) North East Regional Office (NERO): (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya) The target group for IGSSS is socially and economically disadvantaged people specifically the poor, marginalized sections of society such as Dalits, Tribals, Minorities, Women, Youth and Children. Core theme is socio-economic and political empowerment of poor and marginalized communities
